On Sunday 25 August, we are organizing a pub crawl with a difference. Starting at The Cricketers Arms on Peter Street at 12 noon, teams of up to 6 people who want to take part be given quiz sheets where they will then need to solve clues in specified town centre pubs, while enjoying some of the best real ale in St Helens. This year it has added significance as it is also teaming up with Liverpool & District CAMRA to celebrate their 50th Anniversary. When Liverpool & Districts CAMRA was formed it covered the St Helens area which is why we are keen to help them celebrate.
There will be picture clues and riddles, which can only be solved by visiting the pubs on the route. The pubs you need to visit will be revealed by solving the first set of clues before leaving The Cricketers Arms. Ideally, we’d like teams to be up to 6 people and it’s £1 per person to enter. It’s going to be a treasure hunt with a difference so get down to the Cricks and join us for what should be another great afternoon.
On return to The Cricketers Arms, the winners will be announced and will receive a free pint for their efforts.
